About our Palos Verdes Estates concrete company

We're a concrete contractor based in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. We build driveways, patios, walls and foundations with slow, careful prep and plain explanations along the way.

A concrete contractor who learned the slow way

I learned concrete under an old school finisher who'd make me pull my forms and set them again if they were off at all. Back then it felt like a lot of fuss over boards that come out after the pour. It took me a while to see why he cared. The base and the forms decide how a slab holds up long after the finish stops looking new. I started Palos Verdes Estates Concrete here in 2013, and I still run it on what he drilled into me.

Homeowners call us for driveways, patios, walls and foundations, and some property owners call when they've got a lot to pave. You can see everything we build on our home page. Whatever the job, I come out, walk it with you and write the estimate myself. Our crew forms, pours and finishes while I'm by the site. If the budget's tight, I'll tell you to put it into the base before the finish, because a nice top won't save a slab that settles. I'd rather take extra time explaining than have you feel lost.

How we build concrete in Palos Verdes Estates

Careful prep under every slab

We dig out and pack the base, set the grade so water runs away from your house, and set the forms true. You won't see that part once it's poured, but it decides whether your slab settles or holds.

City and Homes Association steps lined up early

The city says most projects here also need Palos Verdes Homes Association approval, so we help you line that up early. When your job needs a permit, we handle it and set up the inspections. We'll also help get your Art Jury paperwork ready.

Curing on the concrete's schedule

We finish and cure on the timing the concrete needs, not the timing that's easiest for us. Curing is the wait while a new slab hardens before you use it, and rushing it can leave a weak, dusty top.

Our license, insurance and the city's rules

We're fully licensed and insured, and we're happy to answer any question about it. The city asks for a contractor's license and a City Business License with most Public Works permit applications, so it's fair to ask any contractor you're considering for both.
